Indoor and outdoor climbing on natural rocks, in high ropes courses or on special walls in climbing gyms
There are now almost 15 climbing areas on natural rocks in the Sauerland. This has made the Sauerland a magnet for athletes from all over NRW and neighboring federal states. Athletes will find around 400 climbing routes from the 3rd to the 10th level of difficulty in the climbing areas. All routes are ideally equipped with bolts for sport climbing and can be reached quickly via short footpaths. There are also several climbing gyms as well as high ropes courses and leisure facilities with climbing opportunities for young and old.
