Climbing rock
Altenaer Straße
58791 Werdohl
Telephone: +49 2392 / 721769
The next rock to become visible is the Lennewächter. It is somewhat hidden in the greenery, but also has challenging, developed climbing routes.
The next rock to appear is the Lenneplatte, which was actually the first of the three rocks to be developed. Here you have the opportunity to consolidate or even expand your existing climbing skills.
In the summer of 2015, two more new climbing crags were opened up.
The Lennebrüggler, about 50 meters behind the Lenneplatte, offers 8 routes, mainly in grade 7, but there are also two other interesting routes in grade 4, an edge tour and a very nice intersection route.
At the Werdohler Neunerplatte, 80 meters further on, 19 new climbing routes have been added to date. Most of these are inclined slab climbs in the fourth and fifth grade. Very nice to familiarize yourself with the slabs here.
Location, parking facilities, access: The rocks are located directly on the banks of the Lenne in Werdohl. Werdohl is centrally located near the towns of Lüdenscheid, Plettenberg and Altena and is easy to reach via the A 45 highway, exit no. 14 "Lüdenscheid-Werdohl". Then turn left onto the L655 to Werdohl. In the town center, turn right at the intersection into "Bahnhofstraße", cross the town bridge, then immediately turn right twice and drive under the town bridge to the traffic lights. Get into the left-hand lane, drive over the bridge that crosses the railroad line, turn left into Friedenstraße and then right into Altenaer Straße. After 350 meters, park at the end of the road in front of the barrier (parking space available). Now it is 140 meters on foot to the rock
