Binolen train station, Iserlohn train station
Binolen train station, Iserlohn train station
Along the Hönne, you pass the Feldhofhöhle cave and the Seven Maidens' Rocks in the direction of Brockhausen. Exciting legends are revealed time and again on the various legend boards along the way. Small paths lead through the dense Sauerland forest and, behind bends and climbs, always open up exciting insights and views on the Sauerland-Waldroute.
Passing the village of Stephanopel, the trail continues towards Iserlohn and into the Iserlohn city forest. The former industrial character of the region can be seen in many places here, for example at the Schmelzplatz. The Literaturhotel Franzosenhohl or the Danzturm, with its magnificent views and panoramic restaurant, are good places to stop for refreshments. The last few kilometers take you towards Iserlohn, the end point of the tour. From here it is only a few meters to the train station.

Information about the rescue signs on the Sauerland-Waldroute
Most hiking trails run away from towns and settlements and every hiker has thought about what would happen if an emergency were to occur. How can I be found here? Where am I anyway? Can the emergency services reach me?
In an emergency, things have to happen quickly! That's why the Sauerland-Waldroute is equipped with so-called rescue signs throughout. The green and white stickers attached to the posts of the signposts have a number that you must give when making an emergency call. This means that the emergency services know exactly where you are and valuable time can be saved.
