The blue bird tour is part of the Willingen MTB routes for children. These are so well networked and signposted that parents and children can decide during the tour which route they want to take and how long the route should be.
Important: The requirement profiles are only guidelines - these can of course vary from child to child. Children should not ride alone. Mountain bikes are required in any case. Riding the routes is at your own risk. In some places, hikers or car traffic may be on the same routes. The route of the blue bird is really designed for beginners and so it goes via the coal pile Große Grube always slightly downhill over the Lütteke field to another refuge "Am Streit". Here you have the option of switching to the red bird route. Our blue bird leads us further along the state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Hessen to the Hildfeld Höhe. Here you have the option of riding the black rabbit, but beware, it is technically very difficult. We fly down into the valley on a beautiful descent and pass the famous Mühlenkopfschanze. A small ice cream at Café Aufwind beckons as a reward before we return to our starting point in Willingen.
