This route - part of which also runs along the Leo Bitter Trail - is perfect for a relaxed tour as it has no inclines. The route is dedicated to Leo Bitter (1913 - 1994), a graphic artist and draughtsman who emigrated from the Sudetenland to Schmallenberg, where he made a name for himself as a long-time head of the traffic office and recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit. The route first takes you along the L5, then joins the L3 and leads you along the lively little river Latrop. At the Waidmannsruh parking lot, follow the A2 through the idyllic valley to the Kaiser spring and hike along the Leo-Bittner-Weg (A1, L4, L5) back to the vacation resort, the romantic Bundesgolddorf and Europa-Silberdorf Latrop. There are various places to stop for refreshments.
