This tour starts in Vorwald. The route first takes you past the Vorwald estate and through the Schanze forest reserve nature reserve. On the way back to Vorwald, you will hike along part of the Grenzweg to Siegerland-Wittgenstein.

Directions
This tour starts in Vorwald. The route takes you through histroric wooded areas up to the crest of the Rothaargebirge up to Heidenstock. Here you hike part of the way along the Rothaarsteig before heading back downhill along the Bremberg back to Vorwald.Always follow the hiking sign V1.

We recommend that you bring sturdy shoes and sufficient food and drink.

A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on hiking signs.

The hiking bus of the Schmallenberg Sauerland runs in Vorwald (closed on Mondays, please note the timetable).
