The "Auf der Sommerseite" nature reserve is an important and valuable montane Hochheide. It consists of 2 sections separated by a gravel path. Rare plants grow in the nature reserve, such as broom heath, bristle grass, juniper, true icewort, hare's foot sedge and many more.

Note:
If goats or sheep are grazing in the nature reserve, please do not feed them. Please always lock the gates.

Please pay particular attention to the rules of nature conservation:

• Stay on the paths.


• Do not pick any plants.


• Do not disturb any animals.


• Do not leave any garbage behind.


• Keep your dog on a lead.

How to get there The nature reserve cannot be reached by car. Use the surrounding parking lots and hike to the nature reserve. Parking Use the "Ennest" hiking parking lot or the parking lots in the villages of Vorwald, Oberkirchen and Westfeld.
