On the "Village in focus" photo route, you have many opportunities to take photos of views of Oberkirchen. Check carefully which one is the most beautiful. Ask yourself: Does the character of the village become clear from this angle? What are the most important elements? And more importantly, are there any distracting elements that could draw attention to themselves and distract from the important things? Large stacks of silage bales are one of them, for example.
An old photographer's rule is "foreground makes picture healthy". In a village view, a foreground not only helps to give the picture depth. It can also be cleverly used to hide distracting elements.
Make sure that the foreground is as sharp as possible. The viewer is more likely to tolerate slight blurring in the background than blurring in the foreground. We are used to being able to see things more clearly and sharply when they are close to us.
Task:
Your further path now leads you down the Oberkirchen Way of the Cross and along the Lenne into the village. Include the path and its Stations of the Cross in the picture. What else can you find along the way back to the village? To tell the story of the "Way to the village", it is enough to get a glimpse of the village in the background.
