The old Stockebrand half-timbered house is a two-storey half-timbered building with a pitched roof. At the beginning of the 19th century, the former residential house was built as part of a farmstead for Engelbert Stockebrand and subsequently extended. In 1971, the building was acquired by the municipality of Möhnesee and has been used as a "cultural and meeting place" since 1976. It was renovated in 2000/2001 on the initiative of the Möhnesee Cultural Association and was supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

In addition to exhibitions on changing themes, there are also permanent exhibitions of works by local artists. The old Stockebrand half-timbered house is also open for individual events such as readings and musical evenings

, and can also be booked for civil wedding ceremonies. The municipality of Möhnesee can provide more information on this.
