The Nature Park Information Center was opened in December 2018 and presents the most important natural and cultural experiences within the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park on around 70 square meters. The centerpiece is a multimedia media table that conveys information interactively and vividly using modern communication tools. This makes it easy to discover the scenic and cultural "jewels" of the nature park. Maps, flyers and information brochures are also available to take away.

As the Meinerzhagen tourist information office is also located on the premises, guests can also receive personal advice on events, leisure activities and excursion destinations in Meinerzhagen and the surrounding area.

Meinerzhagen is also an ideal starting point for hikes. From the nearby Schallershaus hiking parking lot, there are access points to the Sauerland-Höhenflug and the "Wasser-Weitblick-Pfad " circular trail towards the Genkeltalsperre dam. The Ebbe, slope and spring moors, which are important throughout Europe, can be reached via the Stoltenberg hiking parking lot.
