The spacious rooms of the Kunstverein are located on the second floor of a neoclassical town house on the central Neumarkt, a square built according to plans by Schinkel, the fabric of which has been virtually preserved. Located in the heart of the Altstadt, with a view of Neumarkt and its own idyllic garden, many artists choose to expand the spatial presentation with outdoor projects. Through projects beyond the rooms, an additional free space is appropriated and the field of thought and action is expanded.

The Arnsberg Art Association was founded in the fall of 1987 on a private initiative with the aim of creating a platform for encounters with international contemporary art within the region. In addition to changing solo and group exhibitions and annually selected annual editions, the association offers its members accompanying lectures, joint studio visits and excursions.
