Sauerland Tourism is now offering a new service to all interested parties: Via a dedicated WhatsApp channel, users will receive the latest tips for events and leisure activities every week - quickly, reliably and directly in their personal news feed.
"With our WhatsApp channel, we want to bring information to the people in the region," says Philipp Scharfenbaum, Chairman of Sauerland Tourism. "We want to inspire - just like good friends or family would."
The service is simple but effective: there is fresh content twice a week, perfectly tailored to the needs of users. It starts on Mondays with three event tips for the current week - from exciting concerts and lively markets to special cultural moments. This is followed on Thursdays by the right amount of weekend inspiration: a varied hike, a worthwhile cycle tour and an excursion tip that will make you want to discover something new in the region.
The publication times have been deliberately chosen. At the beginning of the week, many people are already planning their activities for the next few days, whereas on Thursdays people spontaneously decide what they want to do at the weekend and the weather conditions are easier to predict. This means that recommendations end up in the news feed exactly when they are needed. "Especially in a world where information is rushing past us faster and faster, WhatsApp offers the opportunity to build closeness and trust," adds press spokesman Rouven Soyka. "We want to show that you can rely on us - uncomplicated, personal and with real added value."
All Posts are clearly laid out, easy to understand and include links to further information. Anyone who wants to can forward the tips to friends or family with one click - and make plans together. The new WhatsApp channel makes discovering the Sauerland even easier, more direct and more personal.
