Sauerland Tourism is once again using this year's OutdoorWelt Köln to showcase the diversity of the region directly on site. With its own stand at the big outdoor event as part of the Lindenthal Summer Festival next weekend, August 30 and 31, the destination will show why the Sauerland is one of the most attractive vacation regions in Germany.
Following the overwhelming success of last year's premiere, Dürener Straße in Cologne-Lindenthal will once again be transformed into a paradise for hiking fans, cycling enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts looking for day trips and vacations. Over 150,000 visitors are expected to experience inspiration, information and hands-on activities as part of the Lindenthal Summer Festival - all with free admission.
"We are very much looking forward to getting visitors in Cologne excited about the Sauerland. With our wide selection of booklets and brochures, we show that nature experiences work for all generations - whether as a day trip, weekend getaway or longer vacation," says Rouven Soyka, press spokesman for Sauerland Tourism. "OutdoorWelt is a wonderful opportunity for us to talk to people directly and whet their appetite for the Sauerland." Visitors to the stand of the local tourism association can also look forward to a tricky puzzle with attractive prizes.
It is the variety that makes "Germany's inspiring outdoor region" so popular. Whether hiking through dense forests, cycling excursions on well-maintained trails or family adventures together: The Sauerland presents itself as a vacation region with countless opportunities for active time-outs in the countryside. One of the highlights at the stand is the new family map: it offers lots of tips and information for unforgettable excursions - from hiking trails suitable for children to adventure stations in nature and leisure activities for all generations. Once again, the Sauerland is proving to be a family-friendly region that perfectly combines relaxation and adventure.
