Sauerland tourism: "Castles, palaces, monasteries" online campaign launches on May 5

The Sauerland tourism team is launching an online campaign with the motto "Castles, palaces, monasteries" together with tourism partners in the municipalities on May 5. Exciting tours, insider tips and ideas for excursions around the region's historic buildings will be presented on social media channels until June 27. The aim is to draw more attention to the cultural diversity of the Sauerland and inspire guests and locals alike.

The Sauerland is not only known for its varied nature, but also for its many impressive buildings: castles, palaces and monasteries that tell the eventful history of the region. Many of these complexes have been lovingly restored and now host guided tours, exhibitions and events. Gastronomic offerings in a historic ambience also make a trip to the old walls a special experience.

The campaign focuses on recommendations for day trips, cultural and historical discovery tours and family-friendly activities. The posts on the Instagram channel www.instagram.com/deinsauerland present both well-known sights and lesser-known insider tips - ideal for spontaneous weekend trips or short breaks in May and June.

Rouven Soyka, press spokesperson for Sauerland Tourism, emphasizes: "With this campaign, we want to make the cultural highlights of the Sauerland more visible. Our castles, palaces and monasteries are worthwhile excursion destinations and offer a variety of experiences - from historical tours to events in a unique setting."

In addition to the social media campaign, a landing page has been set up on the tourism association's website. It offers a comprehensive overview of all castles, palaces and monasteries in the region as well as further information about the attractions.
