TOUR-7 Through the Lennegebirge

From Sundern-Langscheid, in the village of Tiefenhagen below the Sorpedamm dam, the route leads along the B 515 from the old "Sanssouci" railroad station (tip: detour to Balve, Luisenhütte) through the legendary Hönnetal valley (Reckenhöhle, Klusenstein Castle) to the town of Hemer. After a long ride through the town, head south towards Altena through the village of Ihmert, then Evingsen (tip: detour to Altena and take the adventure elevator up to Burg Altena) along the serpentines down to Neuenrade. This section of the route often leads through populated areas. From Neuenrade, sharp bends lead to Werdohl in the Lenne valley. After passing through Werdohl and Eveking via the Herscheid mill on a beautiful stretch along the Versetalsperre to just before Herscheid. The tour leads along a side route along the Oestertal reservoir to Plettenberg. From Plettenberg, the route takes you along a beautiful winding road (unfortunately with bitumen patches here and there) to Allendorf (Sundern) and then via Amecke along the Sorpesee (caution: many tourists, ride with care and be considerate!) on a beautiful asphalt road to Langscheid and the starting point.
