The 163 km long Grenzland tour leads on winding sections and small, good roads across the Hessian state border through the Medebach Bay to the Edersee. Tip: A detour to the Edersee with Waldeck Castle (large biker meeting point at the dam).
Passes Frankenberg in Hesse (historic border town with 10-tower town hall) and leads via small villages back into the Sauerland to Hallenberg (historic town center around the former castle to consolidate the territorial borders of the Duchy of Westfalen). This time, the route continues across the border into the Wittgensteiner Land region to Bad Berleburg (Berleburg Castle). From there, up again to Neuastenberg (go-kart track at the Dorint Hotel), past the Postwiese ski area via Züschen, north past Hallenberg to Medebach.
