There are various hiking tours along the Bad Fredeburg - Schmiedinghausen - Holthausen - Schmallenberg sponge bobbin line. This tour leads from Gleidorf, along the forest and beautiful meadows to Holthausen.
In principle, the tour can also be hiked in the opposite direction.

Public transiot
On the road with the Schwammklöpper line
The Schwammklöpper line 474 runs from Bad Fredeburg, via Schmiedinghausen and Holthausen to the center of Schmallenberg. From June 5, there will even be weekend services. The new line, which is operated by a minibus, supplements the public transport service for passengers from the northern part of Bad Fredeburg. The test operation is limited in time and will initially end on September 29, 2021. If line 474 is well received by passengers, the service will then continue. Try out the Schwammklöpper line without obligation and use the free trial ticket.
Free travel during the campaign week
In the week from August 9 to 15, 2021, you can use the new bus line as often as you like free of charge - whether you want to travel to the Südwestfalen Gallery in Holthausen, to the farmers' café or simply to stroll and hike. The Schwammklöpper line will take you there!

You can start the hike in any of the towns on the Schwammklöpper line.

There are parking lots for hikers or public parking facilities in each of the villages.
