Neuenrade: Borke circular trail with refreshment stop - A1

From the Borke hiking parking lot, we have to cross the L842. After just a few meters, we turn left onto a district road with little traffic. The Borkeweg, which - as the name suggests - leads along the course of the Borke stream and takes us to the Blintrop district. This section of the trail is also ideal for hikers who rely on walking aids or are even in a wheelchair.In Blintrop, we turn right onto the Ahlenbergweg and walk along the edge of the Ahlenberg forest. We like to stop here from time to time to enjoy the view.We cross the L842 at the level of a saint's cottage and walk first through meadows and later through forest until we meet the forest adventure trails Eichhörnchenweg and Igelweg at an acute Winkeln. We turn left and pass the small muddy section by the Borkebach stream. On hot summer days, walking barefoot through the cool stream water is a welcome refreshment.After a few meters, we reach our starting point and have the opportunity to stop off at the "Zur Borke" restaurant.
