Geocaching is a kind of scavenger hunt using state-of-the-art technology. Navigation satellites orbit the earth and the signals they send are analyzed with the help of GPS receivers. The downloaded app on your smartphone also uses the signals from these satellites to determine the geographical coordinates of your current location and compares them with the target coordinates of the current cache. The route and direction to the destination are then calculated from this data and displayed. The geocaching tour "Around Burg Altena" is a so-called multi-cache. With this type of cache, tasks have to be solved at the stations. The correct solution will give you the coordinates that will lead you to the next station. You can enter the correct solution in the solution field on the back of the flyer. The order of the solution letters corresponds to the sequence of the tasks.
