Safty guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on the hiking signs.
Author Tip
The Kyrill-Pfad trail was also created in the small village, which peacefully depicts the natural force of the storm on a 1 km long path. The highlight for children is the "ship's bow" made from a splintered tree.

Public transiot
The hiking bus of the Schmallenberg Sauerland runs in Schanze (separate timetable, closed on Mondays). With the Schmallenberg Sauerland Card you can use the hiking bus free of charge.
There is no local public transport.
Getting there
In the center of Schmallenberg - Grafschaft, turn towards Schanze (into the street "Am Stünzel") and stay on the road until you reach Schanze.
Parking
Free parking is available at the hiking parking lot in Schanze at the entrance to the village.
