The Luisenhütte, a technology museum and cultural monument of national importance in Balve, has one more attraction. After visiting the Luisenhütte, families with children should definitely plan a stop at the "Kleine Luise" playground. The new technology playground right next to the Luisenhütte recreates many of the elements that can be seen in the industrial monument. Children can experience the production processes of a smelting plant in miniature.

The centerpiece is a 6-meter-high replica of the blast furnace. The children climb the blast furnace via the steep Möller ramp. The slide down in the dark, accompanied by lighting effects, is particularly exciting. Three wheelbarrows, which are based on the means of transportation used in iron production, can be used as a "muck pit". Younger visitors to the playground will find the foundry particularly exciting. At the mud table, gears can be cast into shape with the right mixture of water and sand. The water wheel is suitable as a climbing frame for younger visitors.

The playground is freely accessible all year round.
The water at the mud table is turned off in the winter season (November to April).
