In 1869, the old chapel was torn down and a new one was built, which was consecrated to Saint Barbara in December 1884. The construction costs were covered by five families. During the war years, ham and sausages were secretly stored in the attic. The chapel was renovated in 1982–1983, 2012, and 2018. The St. Anne altarpiece comes from the parish church in Reiste.
