Together with the Pilgrims' Church in Schwalefeld, the church in Rattlar is a special stop on the Upland Pilgrims' Trail.
It aims to lead visitors to rest and reflect on their own lives and God in a new way. Modern, medial and meditative forms are used for this purpose.
Visitors can choose their own music or devotions on a screen according to how they are feeling at the time. The church interior is given a subtle color scheme.
The church was consecrated on 1 Advent 1954. Following extensive interior renovations, the church has been a "church of lights" since October 2014.
It is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
