The parish church of St. Family Wehrstapel has been set up as a RAD and light church.
At the touch of a button, visitors to the church can come to rest and reflect. The church will then appeal to them with colors, music and short thoughts. The texts, songs etc. can be selected on a control panel and you can let this take effect on you in peace.

Outside of church services, people are to be positively addressed in their joy, powerlessness, sadness or other feelings during a visit to this church. Thanks to the church's media system with light, text and sound recordings with changing content depending on the church seasons, among other things, the various themes can be called up via a display.
Children can listen to Bible stories. There are corresponding thoughts and music for young people.
The touchscreen display is self-explanatory and therefore easy to operate. Light moods, songs, devotions or meditations can be selected. There are short impulses.
There is a play corner for smaller children.
The church is easy to reach via the main road (formerly B7) which runs directly past the church. Parking is available opposite. Cyclists, including those on the RuhrtalRadweg cycle path, are also particularly welcome. Coming from Velmede -Bestwig, leave the RuhrtalRadweg cycle path at the crossing of the country road coming from Eversberg and cycle into the village. The church tower is always your guide. Coming from Meschede, leave the RuhrtalRadweg at the Schützenhalle, cross the level crossing and then keep left past the beautiful village square. The church and church tower are clearly visible in front of you. After using the small Ruhr bridge, you are already at the church.
