A polarizing filter is a useful tool for landscape photographers (see Station 3). Used correctly, it eliminates reflections. And not only on water surfaces, but also on the shiny surface of leaves and moss as well as on small drops of water in the forest. A polarizing filter can also eliminate these.
Many moss and rock motifs await you on the next kilometer. If you have a polarizing filter with you, try it out on these subjects.
A polarizing filter is usually screwed into the filter thread of the lens from the front. With cell phones or compact cameras, you simply hold the filter in front of the lens. If you look through the camera at plants and moss in the forest with the filter screwed in, you can turn the polarizing filter. You will find a position of the filter where all the green tones in the forest appear particularly intense. If the leaves and moss in the forest are damp, the effect is particularly noticeable.
Task:
The forest is inhabited by all kinds of mythical creatures - can you recognize them? Pay attention to the structures of wood, moss and rocks and capture the faces and figures of the mythical creatures in the picture. Photograph them from eye level as if they were living creatures.
