Built in the 13th century from local quarry stone, this hall church can be seen from afar. The Welsch dome catches the eye. In the parish church you can admire a hinged altar that is particularly worth seeing. It dates from 1500 to 1530 AD and is one of the most famous Flemish carved altars of the late Gothic period.
Detailed information and even a 360° panorama of the interior of the church can be found on the website of the Balve-Hönnetal pastoral association.
The church can be entered during the day through the tower door up to the barrier. The interior and the famous altar are illuminated. Visits are of course not permitted during church services.
Guided tours of the church are possible by prior arrangement with the parish office.
