Nestled in a picturesque landscape, Overhagen Castle, built in 1619, is an impressive example of 17th century architecture. Surrounded by moats, the moated castle in the unique Lippe Renaissance style impresses with its opulent furnishings and striking design elements. The farm buildings, constructed between 1718 and 1720, are located on an island, while the castle itself is situated on another island. Overhagen Castle has been rebuilt several times, but still retains much of its original appearance.
