. Geology, mining, and history—and thus the city’s development—are of great significance to the Marsberg region. These three focal points can be uniquely combined and interrelated.
Knowledge of geological history—including its mineral resources and the shaping of the landscape—helps visitors see the history of mining, settlement, and urban development in context and illustrates how these elements are mutually interdependent.
