Today an ornament in Hallenberg's "good parlor", it once had an important function for the town's water supply.

The figure of St. Peter stands on a pedestal at the western edge of the basin. At his feet is the Hallenberg town coat of arms, in an early version based on an old magistrate's seal (St. Peter with masonry and three towers as a sign of the fortified town). Below it, a dragon with two wings can be made out under an arc of a circle: St. Peter, the town coat of arms and the dragon - they probably symbolize the three spheres of heaven, earth and the underworld.
