The collection activities of the Städtische Galerie Lüdenscheid concentrate on German art after 1945. Works on paper, sculptures and objects form a focal point of the collection.
Works from the first half of the 20th century, which place the city and region in a wider context with the international art scene, are of the greatest importance for Lüdenscheid. These are the works of the Westphalian painter Ida Gerhardi (1862-1927) and the Paul Wieghardt Foundation with almost 100 works by the Lüdenscheid-born painter Paul Wieghardt (1897-1969).
Guided tours: The Städtische Galerie offers its visitors guided tours of the exhibition; school classes are also welcome. Please make an appointment in good time by telephone or e-mail. There are also special public tours, which are announced in the daily press.
