The multimedia exhibition at the Kellerwald National Park Center invites visitors to linger. Artfully staged displays and entertaining exhibits offer extraordinary insights into the wilderness of the Kellerwald. In “Treasures of the Wilderness,” visitors can experience the national park’s diverse habitats from surprising perspectives. In the “WaldWerk,” it’s all about turning, pressing, pushing, and cranking. The interactive exhibits are designed for active and curious visitors who want to discover the essence of the primeval beech forests and their inhabitants. And in the “FilmRaum,” a unique 4D sensory film plays: Join the wildcat on a fascinating journey through the wilderness of the national park. There, you’ll encounter hidden worlds and very special forest dwellers. The National Park Shop invites you to browse, and afterward, visitors can explore the nearby national park on exciting discovery tours—either on their own or accompanied by a ranger.
E-bike rental from April through October: With two e-bikes, a bike tour through the national park or around Edersee is a pleasure even for casual cyclists. You’re welcome to test ride the e-bikes for free in the parking lot. Prices per e-bike per day (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.): €25
E-scooter rental: Less experienced wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments or unsteady gait can borrow an electric scooter free of charge at the National Park Center. This allows them to independently explore “The Wilderness of Tomorrow” on the nearby Hagenstein Route in the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
Please note that dogs are not permitted inside the building. If you’d still like to visit the exhibition without your four-legged friend, we have dog crates available in the outdoor area. Please feel free to speak with the ticket office staff about this.
