Kappe Chairlift

At the summit of the Kappe Adventure Mountain is the top station of the “Kappe” 6-person chairlift. In winter, when everything is covered in a thick blanket of snow, the mountain—as part of the Winterberg ski lift network—is a popular destination for many skiers. Experienced skiers will find the steepest ski run north of the Main River here. Beginners can take the easier forest run or try their hand at the Käppchenhang. Everyone gets back up using the modern 6-person chairlift.

And in the summer? Our chairlifts are still running then, too! Mountain bikers from “The Mother” Bike Park Winterberg, in particular, use the modern chairlifts to comfortably ride back up the mountain—along with their mountain bikes.

Hikers also enjoy using the 6-person chairlift to save themselves a few meters of elevation gain. As a pedestrian, you can board the lift at either the mountain station or the valley station and let yourself be gently carried through nature at lofty heights.

The 4-person “Panoramabahn” on the other side of the Kappe is reserved exclusively for mountain bikers.
