Fly-Line

On the Fly-Line on the Kappe adventure mountain, you can take on the perspective of a squirrel. This allows you to see everything from the position of our mascot Kappi - who is also a squirrel!
You ride down the line at a leisurely pace for around 1,000 meters in a sitting position, equipped with a safety harness, hanging under a steel tube. Unfortunately, part of the forest through which the Fly-Line runs has fallen victim to the bark beetle. But where there are no more trees, you have a breathtaking view over the Sauerland mountains. And there's even more to discover, as you fly over parts of the bike park, giving you a whole new perspective on the bikers riding down.
But what exactly is the Fly-Line? First and foremost, it is suitable for young and old. A steel tube, starting below the mountain station of the 6-seater chairlift, runs between the trees and over the Winterberg Bike Park at a height of several meters. So-called sledges are attached to this steel tube, to which guests are in turn attached in a comfortable, seated position with their safety harness. The Fly-Line guides will accompany and help you on and off. As soon as you are ready, the adventure begins! The sledges descend the mountain by themselves and you can fully enjoy the view. The sledges are equipped with centrifugal brakes so that a relaxed speed of up to 12 km/h can be reached. The descent down the mountain is almost silent and you will receive a friendly welcome at the bottom station at the end of the ride. You then take the chairlift back up the mountain. The lift ride is of course included in the Fly-Line ticket price. So in addition to the ride on the Fly-Line itself, there is another extraordinary experience to report on.
To use the Fly-Line, you must be at least 3 years old. Children up to and including the age of 6 ride together with an accompanying person in tandem, one directly behind the other. The maximum permitted weight per person is 120 kg. The entrance to the Fly-Line is located directly below the mountain station of the 6-seater chairlift "Kappe". The "flight tickets" can also be purchased here. The ride ends near the bottom station of the chairlift - which then takes you back up again.
