According to tradition, the villagers vowed to build the chapel if their village were spared by the approaching Swedish troops—a promise they fulfilled after the war. The historic chapel, with its distinctive linden tree and the 1962 crucifixion group, remains to this day a special place of history, faith, and reflection.
