Red deer, wolves, eagle owls, garden dormice and many more - a total of 21 different native species can be admired and experienced at the Edersee Wildlife Park, a facility of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
One highlight is the flight show at the Edersee Griffin Sanctuary. Falcons, kites and buzzards perform magnificent flight maneuvers against the backdrop of Edersee with the dam wall and Waldeck Castle. The flight show at the Greifenwarte Edersee takes place from March to October every day except Mondays at 11:00 and 15:00. The inhabitants of the WildtierPark can be observed at any time of year. The 2.5-kilometre circular route through the WildtierPark is suitable for people in wheelchairs and families with baby carriages.
Less experienced wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties or gait insecurity can borrow an electric scooter free of charge from the BuchenHaus. This allows them to experience a tour of the WildtierPark Edersee independently. Reservations are recommended.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in any of our facilities. Dog crates are available free of charge near the entrance to WildtierPark Edersee. Please speak to the ticket office staff.
Last admission: one hour before the end of opening hours
