The Dreislar bird adventure trail offers plenty of entertainment, fun and interesting facts for all young and old explorers on a 3.5 km circular trail. The bird species found here and their way of life are presented at 11 stations.
Station 8: Secret feather change
Feathers wear out and need to be replaced. When most feathers are changed from August onwards, birds can't fly as well and stay hidden.
Look closely: Can you see a bird "oiling" its feathers? This can often be seen in mallards.
