Experience the fascination of outdoor sports at the Steinschab climbing area directly on the B 236 between Hallenberg and Züschen! As the historic heart of the Sauerland climbing arena, this former quarry was opened in 2006 as the first climbing area in the region. Here you can enjoy a natural adventure far away from artificial halls. Climbers of all levels will find exciting routes of difficulty levels III to VII- on the 50-metre-high greywacke wall.
Please note: This excursion destination in the Sauerland is currently completely closed due to rock work and danger to life from falling rocks! Please do not enter the area. As soon as it is safe again, you can hire equipment such as harnesses or helmets from SGV Hallenberg (contact: Bernhard Mause, Tel. 02984/920713) and climb the rocks yourself.
