The Aero Club Attendorn was formed around 30 years ago from a group of enthusiastic model pilots who met at weekends in meadows around Attendorn.
As the number of members increased, a constitution was drawn up in 1984 and the club was registered at the local court in Olpe, and a flying site was leased on the south-western outskirts of the town of Attendorn (In der Stesse).
With the support of the city and district authorities, the official permission to fly model aircraft was finally granted by the Münster aviation supervisory authority in 1987.
New members, especially young people, are very welcome.
