4FACHWERK presents art exhibitions, readings, and much more in the premises of the former Freudenberg City Museum. But 4FACHWERK doesn’t just showcase art—it also invites people to get actively involved in cultural work.
In January 2014, the 4FACHWERK Mittendrin Museum association was founded with the goal of preserving and further developing the City Museum—located in the half-timbered house at Mittelstraße 4—as the heart of Freudenberg. The building has since become a vibrant hub for art, culture, and history.
Spanning four floors and four sections, the “Mittendrin Museum”—a space dedicated to art, history, creativity, and tradition—has emerged as a place where visitors can explore the local (architectural) history of the Old Town, fostering an appreciation for and understanding of their immediate surroundings.
The four sections consist of a gallery for art exhibitions, a workshop for creative expression, a space dedicated to the town’s history, and an area showcasing the fascinating exhibits of former Siegerland watchmakers.
Art exhibitions, creative workshops, and lectures are offered here on a regular basis.
