Hiking café Alte Schmiede

This small, cozy hiking café was created from a 300-year-old smithy. The former industrial character has been preserved.

The quarry stones on the walls and the wooden ceiling give the café a rustic charm. The windows offer a view of the bridge and the Volkringhausen village park. A wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth for hikers.

Enjoy a "waffle on the hand" or a coffee. Sheet cakes and muffins are also available. All dishes are homemade. The operators try to use as many regional products as possible.
