Welcome to Bad Sassendorf! The Rosenau adventure tour starts at Hof Haulle/at the Westfalen Salt Mine. From there you follow the course of the Rosenau, the stream that flows through Bad Sassendorf, into the town center, across Sälzerplatz and into the spa park.
Don't be distracted and dive straight into the "Kurpark adventure", there is a lot to discover and experience here (adventure rooms at the Rosenau, adventure golf, barefoot path and low ropes course)!
At the end of the spa park you cross the road, where the "Rosenau" nature reserve begins. Construction is currently underway in some places and the Rosenau is being restored to its natural state. It is fantastic to see nature so wild and free. Look and listen carefully, there are also some animals here!
Once you arrive at Schlothmanns Mühle in Weslarn, the trail leads back along the same route. The tour therefore covers a total of 9.3 km.
Tip for families:
Back in the spa gardens, you can let off steam in the low ropes course or let your feet dangle in the Rosenau. Without shoes, you can then continue along the barefoot path or play a round of adventure golf.
The meadows in the spa park invite you to spread out a blanket and have a picnic or stop off at one of the restaurants and cafés in the spa park.
The Westfalen Salzwelten adventure museum at the starting point/finish of the tour is also a tip for families. Here you can immerse yourself in the history of 'white gold' and learn that salt is not only important for seasoning food.
