Westenfeld Shooting Range
This is where the tour ends.
This beautiful forest nature trail was built in 2002 by the Westenfeld Local Association, who crafted it with great care, idealism, and a lot of manpower.
Starting from the parking lot at the Schützenhalle in Westenfeld, first follow Westenfelder Straße about 150 meters to the left and turn onto Bainkhauser Weg. Now follow the W1 trail marker along the “Sieben Fußfälle” up to the Bainghauser Höhe. This is where the actual forest adventure trail begins. Schnappi, the forest crocodile, greets the children, who can take a swing on his back while their parents relax on the wooden swing. To experience the entire trail, be sure to allow plenty of time. Follow the signpost with the birds as its logo. From the tree guitar and the barefoot trail, through the fox den and the listening tubes, all the way to the waterworks and many hand-carved sculptures, there’s plenty to experience. Once you’ve completed the entire loop, you’ll head back down to the village along the same path.
