Water is fascinating - and we encounter it again and again on this circular tour through several river valleys. The Nameless Brook murmurs as it accompanies the cyclists.
Mining history is alive and well in Silbach: Mining sites and the old Zwölf Apostel tunnel tell of slate and ore mining. In the nail forge, visitors can watch how sharp pins are made from hot metal.
If you need to cool off, refresh yourself in the treading pool at the edge of the forest.
Through the magnificent landscape around the enchanting artists' village of Siedlinghausen uphill to the wayside shrine at St. Blasius. From there, there is a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and villages: the last section of the route runs along the Ruhr Valley cycle path, which is dedicated to the Ruhr.

From the Radpoint at the train station in Winterberg, head toward downtown—follow the Kurweg toward the ski resort—through the ski resort toward the golf course—toward Silbach—continue toward Siedlinghausen—past the mountain lake – toward the center of Siedlinghausen – toward the mountain lake at Iberg – Sankt Blasius – Eschenberg Ski Resort – Ruhr Valley Bike Trail – Winterberg

Author Tip
A detour to the mountain lake on the Iberg between Siedlinghausen and Silbach is a must.
From the Eschenberg lift, a detour to Niedersfeld to the Hillebach reservoir with its bathing bay and wakeboard facility is well worthwhile.
Public transit
Winterberg is easily accessible by train. The tourist information office is just a few hundred meters from the train station.
