You start the tour in the middle of Bracht at St. Marien church with its unusual onion dome. Mainly gravel forest paths through partly dense spruce forests lead you to the Lauschpöhlen with the stories about the "Kriegerweg/Heidenstraße", Christine Koch, the Ross family from Werntrop and the legendary "Drama um den Greitemann".
We recommend that you bring sturdy shoes and sufficient food and drink.
A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on hiking signs.
There are refreshment stops in Bracht at the Geueke inn and at the SGV hut in Bracht at weekends. It is also worth taking a look inside the parish church in Bracht and exploring the memorial to Christine Koch, which provides lots of interesting information about the local poet.
