Trails are being built in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district that do not yet exist in this region. Children, young people, adults and senior citizens should feel comfortable on the trails and be able to ride them without any problems. As the Green Trails are intended to be a nature experience for visitors, it is also important to respect and protect nature. When planning, building and using the trails, the focus is clearly on nature compatibility.

Directions

The 14-kilometre summit circuit (GRU) takes in all the green trails in Willingen: From the starting point at the Ettelsberg cable car, take the K1 lift to the start of the "Hoppecke-Up". The trail leads upwards for a good 4 kilometers with plenty of variety. You then roll over the "Paradies" to the uphill trail to the "Große Grube". The "MTB History Trail" takes you up the Ettelsberg - followed by a long descent down into the valley.

Equipment

We recommend a helmet, functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, backpack food, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.

Rules of use on the Green Trails:

You ride the trail at your own risk.
You are obliged to wear a helmet.
Keep to the prescribed direction of travel.
Respect and pay attention to other nature users. The forest is there for everyone.
Do not overestimate yourself and respect your limits.
Think about nature and stay on the paths - shortcuts are taboo.
Don't leave any garbage in the forest. Animals and nature will thank you.
Observe the usage times - allow the animals to rest
