Gold village hiking trail (17 km)
The Golddörferweg trail connects three beautiful Sauerland gold villages to form a panoramic hiking tour with numerous sights. Whether the church in Elleringhausen, the imposing Bruchhauser Steine, the special Sauerland flower gardens or the rose village of Assinghausen - there is something for everyone on this route.
The hiking trail can be started in any of the three gold villages; the starting point is always the village center. In Elleringhausen, the tour starts at the "Alter Kirchplatz" and first leads uphill along the village street, via "Den Knochen" and the Way of the Cross to the Friedenskapelle, a special place of silence and one of the Sauerland-Seelenorte. From there, the route continues via Vockelied to the rose village of Assinghausen, which impresses with its idyllic Küsterland and the rose rosary. The trail continues past the Küsterlandkapelle towards Lutterbecke and finally to the European gold village of Bruchhausen. Here the route meets the access path of the Rothaarsteig and leads back to Elleringhausen below the striking Bruchhauser.
