Chapel Borberg, Queen of Peace Mary - Pilgrim's Stone
You leave St. Nikolaus at the handicapped accessible side entrance and turn right onto right onto Kirchstraße, then half right onto Borbergstraße and then follow the then follow the Rothaarsteig feeder route (yellow sign with horizontal R) to your destination, Borberg Marienkapelle. Borberg Marienkapelle. Borberg is also known as the Glockenpfad and was a medieval escape route to the Borberg. The Way of the Cross, built in 1963, leads along this path.
The way back leads on the Borberg past the Borbergkirchhof excavation site and the Walltor gate onto the Rothaarsteig in the direction of Hiebammenhütte/Brilon. In the area of a parking facility with a bench, turn left and at the next fork turn half right onto the the Olsberger Kneippweg K, past the Papendiek treading area to the "Rote Brücke" (red bridge) and then over the "Kienegge" (Kurterrainweg 4) back to St. Nikolaus.
