Very close to the Wümberg, where monks from the Berentrop Abbey once lived, the Weinbergfreunde cultivated the Regent and Solaris grape varieties. In this beautiful spot overlooking Neuenrade, the vines thrive and invite visitors to linger and enjoy the surroundings. A view from the south-facing slope not only reveals the beauty of the Sauerland region but also offers a glimpse of the wine’s Oechsle degree.
The Weinbergfreunde have been participating in the “Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc” project for several years. One Sunday each month, the vineyard is open to the public. This provides many opportunities to engage in expert discussions with interested visitors about viticulture and, of course, the enjoyment of the wines.
