Unterholz - Open Mind Place

In the lower section, seating areas for young and old have been carved out of two concrete cubes. During construction, the villagers attached old windows, doors, and mementos to the inside of the concrete formwork to leave a permanent imprint for future generations. The upper section is made of wood—the same type used in the past to build half-timbered houses in the Sauerland region—and serves both as a roof and as a central light fixture for the evening hours.
