Spring is the most beautiful time of year in the Bad Sassendorf Rhododendron Park. The first species bloom as early as April and gradually unfold their full splendor. The special charm of this unique part of the spa park is created by the trees, the interplay between light and shade and the contrast between the brightly colored flowers and the light green of the ferns. The six-hectare rhododendron park was created in 1987 and is home to around 40 varieties of rhododendron. One special variety even bears the name "Bad Sassendorf".

Wilderness adventure tour for families

Now it's getting wild! There's a lot to discover in the Bad Sassendorf spa gardens: wild meadows, a wild river, huge trees and rhododendron bushes, and you can experience even more wilderness in the Freiherr-von-Wintzingerode wildlife park, where you can meet the animals at eye level.
